GURPS Resources

GURPS is the Generic Universale RolePlaying System, a roleplaying game published by Steve Jackson Games. I have been playing the game since 1994, and have been a freelance contributor (of illustration, and some writing) over the past few years. This section of angelwerks is home to some of my personal GURPS resources...

GURPS Character of the Week Archive

Since June 2000, I have been editor of a weekly column to GURPSnet called Character of the Week (inspired by Onno Meyer's excellent Vehicle of the Week series). COTW presents two fully-developed GURPS characters each week, from a wide range of settings and genres. Each character includes game statistics, a biography, advice for GMing the character, and notes for introducing the character to an existing campaign. Contributors are always welcome; email me if you're interested.

Disaster in Manhattan

My own GURPS campaign is called the Chaos Continuum, which is a genre I call "mytho-supers". On the surface, it is a four-colour super-hero setting with strong similarities to the comic book universes of Marvel and DC Comics. But in the Chaos Continuum, there is one signficant added element: magic and the supernatural are much more prominent, and virtually all of the characters and phenomena from world mythology, legend and folklore are all real in one manner or another.

This is an account - including maps and animations - of an event that happened in my campaign in the middle of 1999; the PCs were involved in a series of events which led to a massive starship crashing in Manhattan.
